IIIT-H R&D showcase begins, highlights 'trust in technology'

Hyderabad: The 25th annual research and development (R&D) showcase of the International Institute of Information Technology, Hyderabad began at its Gachibowli campus recvently, bringing together the researchers, industry leaders, policymakers and students to explore advances in artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, robotics and digital public infrastructure.
The two-day event, themed "Trust in Technology – Security, Privacy and Transparency", features over 400 research posters, demos and prototypes from 29 research centres. More than 300 industry representatives and students from several colleges are expected to visit the exhibition.
Delivering the keynote address, Shivkumar Kalyanaraman, CEO of the Anusandhan National Research Foundation, said the foundation serves as India’s primary body for funding and supporting research, replacing the Science and Engineering Research Board under the Anusandhan National Research Foundation Act, 2023.
Director of IIIT Hyderabad Sandeep K Shukla said the showcase reflects the institute’s spirit of innovation and its efforts to translate research into societal impact.
